No, I’m not expecting lasers, holograms, virtual reality headsets and other gimmicks.
But the way museums present exhibits evolves. Gone are the days where an art museum just fills a wall with paintings.
I last visited Madrid in 2018, some 6-7 years ago. So I don’t remember exactly what I found “slightly outdated” as I wrote in 2020.
It can be how objects are presented and explained. The typography and visuals can be dated. Design and lay-out evolve as well.
