As I am preparing for a city trip to Madrid in Spain, what do I take along in my hand luggage?

We carry only hand luggage so I have two bags with me. A carry-on trolley for expected items such as clothes and a rucksack with my electronics and documents. 

• Sunglasses;
• Notebook;
• Pens;
• Guidebook;
• Travel documents;
• Tissues;
• Brush;
• Laptop;
• All sorts of cables.

‘Toiletries’

As you can see on the photos, I use a toilet bag for my cables and earphones. I hate earphones but sometimes you need them. If necessary, I will also bring outlet adaptors and a multi outlet power strip.

Using a toilet bag is an improvement from my previous method, which was a random plastic bag. It’s more organised this way, more practical and it’s easier to find what I need.
