REVIEW | British Airways Brussels to London Heathrow

June 2024. For our first visit to the United States of America since the COVID-19 pandemic, we flew to New Orleans via London Heathrow with British Airways. After two days of exploring NOLA, Amtrak‘s Crescent overnight train brought us from Louisiana to New York, where we we stayed one night only before flying home. 

WALLOON BRABANT | Louvain-la-Neuve

In May 2024, Jeroen and I travelled to Louvain-la-Neuve in Walloon Brabant to visit the Musée Hergé or Hergé Museum. Georges Remi (1907-1983), better known as Hergé is the author of The Adventures of Tintin, which puts Belgium on many maps. 

ANTWERP | Final design Linkeroever Scheldt Banks South approved

The Council of Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Antwerp approved the final design for the south sub-area of ​​the Scheldt Banks Linkeroever project. This includes Beatrijslaan, from Galgenweellaan to the border with the municipality of Burcht. If everything goes according to plan, work will start in the second half of 2025.

Antwerp celebrates 80 years of liberation with 110,000 visitors

On 7 and 8 September 2024, Antwerp celebrated and commemorated 80 years of liberation with a large-scale event with a varied programme. For example, the Liberation Parade, the Liberation Village, the Liberation Ball and the commemoration moment for the victims of World War II attracted 110,000 visitors to the Liberation Days on Saturday and Sunday.
