REVIEW | The National WWII Museum in New Orleans, Louisiana

June 2024. For our first visit to the United States of America since the COVID-19 pandemic, we flew to New Orleans via London Heathrow with British Airways. After two days of exploring NOLA, Amtrak‘s Crescent overnight train brought us from Louisiana to New York, where we we stayed one night only before flying home. 

ITALY | Turin to host EuroPride 2027

Turin (Torino) in the north of Italy will host EuroPride in 2027. The annual general meeting of European Pride Organisers Association (EPOA) in Porto in Portugal appointed Turin on Saturday. 

ANTWERP | Ensor Night at 4 museums on Thursday 21 November 2024

On Thursday 21 November 2024, lovers of culture, music and James Ensor can indulge themselves during Ensor Night. Four Antwerp museums open their doors from 7 PM to midnight. In addition to the four Ensor exhibitions, they provide a unique program with guided tours, film screenings, live performances and DJ sets.

Antwerp unveils texts and names for monument in honour of WWII victims

On the weekend of 7 and 8 September 2024, Antwerp commemorated 80 years of liberation. During that weekend, a commemoration ceremony took place at the Loodswezensite or Pilotage Site on the Orteliuskaai, where a Names Monument will be built in the future for Antwerp’s victims of World War II. 

Brussels Pride officially recognised as Intangible Cultural Heritage

Brussels Pride is now part of the Inventory of Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Brussels-Capital Region. This was announced in a press release by Ans Persoons (Vooruit), Secretary of State for Heritage of Brussels. Brussels now wants to submit the candidacy of pride as Intangible Cultural Heritage to UNESCO, together with other cities and countries.
