PinX 2026 from Tuesday 27 January to Sunday 1 February

The next edition of LGBTQIA+ film festival PinX will be held from from Tuesday 27 January to Sunday 1 February 2026. Ghent founder Sphinx is very happy with the 2025 edition. 500 extra visitors came to see a queer film there. There’s no reason to assume Cinema Cartoon’s in Antwerp will not participate again. 

Flanders greenlights bicycle bridge over River Scheldt in Antwerp

Just days before the 2025 summer holidays for politics in Belgium, which starts after the National Holiday on 21 July, the Flemish Government approved the project for a bicycle bridge over the River Scheldt in Antwerp. Flanders will pay the bill, Gazet van Antwerpen reports.

Belgium‘s train operator NMBS / SNCB and and rail infrastructure manager Infrabel are examining the feasibility of reopening a train station on Linkeroever (Left Bank) in Antwerp.
