Today, tomorrow and Saturday Charleroi in the province of Hainaut hosts the Fête de l’Amour, the Festival of Love, aka Charleroi Pride or Pride Carolo. It’s the fifth edition of the Festival of Love and the third edition with a pride parade on Saturday.

Liège Pride 2024 programme and introduction
The city of Liège in the province of Liège will host its first fully-fledged pride weekend on 23, 24 and 25 August 2024. The Liège Pride website has now been launched, with more information and a programme. The organisers expect 5,000 participants.

As reported last year, NMBS / SNCB will operate a regular-speeds Eurocity train from Brussels in Belgium to Paris in France in collaboration with SNCF. This summer, the train will run twice daily during the Olympic Games, from 24 July to 11 August, and during the Paralympic Games, from 28 August to 8 September 2024….
Slow(er) train from Brussels to Paris for 2024 Summer Olympics
For the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris, Belgium‘s national passenger train operator NMBS / SNCB is planning a so-called classic train link between Brussels and the capital of France. It will be cheaper than the high-speed line, but also a lot slower.

SNCF and NMBS / SNCB to link Paris to Brussels with ‘slow’ classic train in about 3 hours from December 2024
France‘s national train operator SNCF Voyageurs has submitted an application to the French transport authority to start driving between Brussels and Paris with Belgian rolling stock from December 2024, Treinreiziger.nl reports.
Legoland Belgium in Gosselies, Charleroi by 2027
Belgium is set to host the fourth Legoland amusement park in Europe. In 2027, the town of Gosselies near Charleroi in the province of Hainaut in Wallonia. The site used to host the Caterpillar machinery factory. The Walloon Government foresees 1,000 new jobs.
Belgian Rail introduces new train services to France
The Belgian rail operator NMBS / SNCB will start new train services between Walloon cities and French cities, including Paris. The launch is due in December 2018.
