Just days before the 2025 summer holidays for politics in Belgium, which starts after the National Holiday on 21 July, the Flemish Government approved the project for a bicycle bridge over the River Scheldt in Antwerp. Flanders will pay the bill, Gazet van Antwerpen reports.

Antwerp-Berchem Railway Station and its surroundings are set for a major renovation, beginning with the refurbishment of the railway bridge over the Ring in August 2028 and 2029, Het Nieuwsblad reports. Dinner Train has been successful in the Netherlands, so this is – or as you can already guess – wás something we looked forward to.
