Summer aperitif

“On Friday 16 August, the Bollekesfeest off with a summer aperitif between 4 and 5 PM on the Grote Markt. Will you join us? Free Bollekes will be served.”

2024 programme

Aapart from drinking beer, there are concerts. Gustaph, Cookies & Cream, The Mackenzie ft. Jessy, Willy Sommers, Pauline and many more are scheduled to perform. 

Reusable plates, bowls and cups

This year too, your snacks and drinks will be served in reusable plates, bowls or cups. You pay a deposit of 2 euro per consumption. Completely satisfied? Return your used cup and plate to one of the clearly indicated exchange points. There you will receive a ticket with a QR code for your refund request. Scan the code, fill in your details before 1 September and submit your request for refund. You will receive the paid deposit back in full on your account within three working days.

Accessibility

What is the Bollekesfeest?

The Bollekesfeest is an annual summer festival held in the heart of Antwerp. It’s a large outdoor event where locals and visitors alike come together to enjoy music, food, drinks, and a festive atmosphere. The name, ‘a little ball’ or ‘bowl’, refers to the shape for a glass of De Koninck beer. 

While the festival is now a staple of the Antwerp summer calendar, it’s difficult to pinpoint exactly when it was first organized. It’s possible that the festival gradually evolved from smaller local events.
