AfricaMuseum in Tervuren near Brussels

In December 2021, we visited the AfricaMuseum or Royal Museum for Central Africa (RMCA) in Tervuren. A historic building and institution in Belgium, it obviously has a controversial subject, as Belgium had the Congo, now the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) as a colony. When one mentions colony, one mentions abuse, exploitation and worse. 

‘Freight’ and ‘Listen’ exhibitions at MAS in Antwerp 

On Saturday, Museum Aan de Stroom or Museum At the Stream (MAS) in Antwerp opened the new section ‘Freight. About the port, people and cargo‘ on the 6th floor. It replaces ‘World Port. About trade and shipping‘. So it remains in the same theme.

MAS opens new permanent exhibition section: ‘Freight’ 

On 11 December 2021, the new permanent exhibition ‘Freight. About the port, the people and cargo‘ opens on the sixth floor of the Museum Aan de Stroom (Museum At the Stream, MAS) in Antwerp. This exhibition takes you into the colorful history of shipping and world trade.
