Legoland Belgium in Gosselies, Charleroi by 2027
Belgium is set to host the fourth Legoland amusement park in Europe. In 2027, the town of Gosselies near Charleroi in the province of Hainaut in Wallonia. The site used to host the Caterpillar machinery factory. The Walloon Government foresees 1,000 new jobs.

2020. Corona. Travelling is a different game. Yet our Fernweh acted up too often. So we arranged a train trip to Germany and Austria. Specifically to Leipzig in Saxony, several spots in Bavaria and returning home with ÖBB‘s Nightjet from Innsbruck in Tyrol to Brussels in Belgium.

In order to get to Bordeaux, Danny and I booked a Thalys in Comfort 1 from Antwerp-Central station to Marne-la-Vallée – Chessy. That’s the TGV station for Disneyland Paris.
Travelling on TGV to Avignon
To escape the grey and wet Belgian wintery weather Gillis and I went for a short break in Southern France. We would be staying 5 nights in Avignon and use it as a base for discovering the region and cities like Arles, Orange and Nîmes.

Welcome, 2019. A special year. Fifty years ago, in June 1969, patrons of The Stonewall Inn in New York grew tired of yet another raid by the police. Gay, lesbians, bisexuals and mostly: transgenders, transvestites and dragqueens fought back. Those were the Stonewall Riots.
