High-speed Frecciarossa trains will link Munich in Bavaria directly with Milan in Lombardy and Rome in Latium (Lazio) from summer 2027, under a new cooperation between Deutsche Bahn (DB), Trenitalia and the Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB).

German start-up Nox Mobility will launch its first night train between Hamburg in Germany and Munich in Bavaria on 23 March 2027, initially operating three times a week.
