Virginia State Capitol in Richmond

The Virginia State Capitol is the seat of state government of the Commonwealth of Virginia, located in Richmond. The Capitol was conceived of by Thomas Jefferson and Charles-Louis Clérisseau in France, based on the Maison Carrée in Nîmes. Construction began in 1785 and was completed in 1788.

The White House of the Confederacy in Richmond, Virginia

From 1861 to 1865 seven then eleven states of the United States of America (USA) seceded from the Union to form the Confederate States of America (CSA). The Confederacy had a president, Jefferson Finis Davis, and he had a house in the capital of Richmond in Virginia. It’s the White House of the Confederacy.
