Two days and two nights in Richmond, Virginia

For my birthday my uncle and aunt took me to Richmond in Virginia. I was charmed by the city. It’s a nice destination for a two or three-day getaway.

What did we do?

We had lunch at Chez Fouchee and visited the White House of the Confederacy. That evening we ate at Can Can in Carytown.

The next day we toured the Virginia State Capitol. We walked to Mamma Zu, a dive but also a great Italian restaurant. In the afternoon we visited the American Civil War Museum (ACWM) and the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (VMFA).

We then had dinner at Bookbinder’sBookbinder’s.

We stayed two nights at The Jefferson Hotel.
