Early 2020 AD. Timothy and I embark on a 21st century Odyssey. On the Majestic Princess from Sydney to New Caledonia, Vanuatu and Fiji. Back to Sydney, then to Melbourne and flying back home.
We ended our lounge hopping tour of Bangkok in the EVA Air Lounge at the far end of the terminal. For us it was the most exotic lounge as it is run by a carrier we do not often see this Taiwanese carrier in Europe.
The entire lounge was also in a very distinctive design, like a spaceship that just landed at the airport.
The food offering was mostly hearty, with some nice Asian foods like dumplings but lacking on the sweet side. As the lounge was located alongside the airside outside window you could do some nice plane spotting from the lounge.
The toilets where also very space age, with automatic Japanese style toilets which where fun to play with the special functions. The washbasins where also nicely designed and had a panoramic view of the airfield.
When we left the lounge the attendant did the effort of looking up for us where our next flight would be taking off as we didn’t know which gate our flight would be leaving from, which was a very nice and very service oriented gesture of her.
I was very surprised by the EVA Air lounge in Bangkok, it probably was one of the better lounge in the airport and it makes me want to fly EVA Air to experience their inflight product.
Have you ever flown EVA Air and how was your experience? Let us know in the comments below!
