Shopping at Exotische Markt in times of coronavirus countermeasures

On Saturday the 30th of May, the Exotische Markt or Exotic Market at Theaterplein in Antwerp reopened. It had been cancelled for some three months as a coronavirus COVID-19 countermeasure.

Markets are highly regulated now. A maximum of fifty vendors, social and/or physical distancing. The usual.

So what is the result? A stretched out, thinned out market. With an official entrance and an official exit.

I went just after 8AM and it wasn’t crowded. I bought some waffles from my ex Wes. Haha! He runs Wafeltjes van ons Bomma, Grandma’s Waffles.
