In 2025, Mister Gay Europe will be chosen during Pride Amsterdam in the Netherlands, which is held between 26 July and 3 August 2025. The contest will be produced by Bram Bierkens, which has been organising Mister Gay Belgium for ten years.
“The search for the new Mr Gay Europe has begun”, the press release says.
“The 16th edition of this prestigious event will take place during the iconic Pride Amsterdam and promises to be a spectacular four-day celebration of inclusivity, culture, and the festive pride atmosphere.”
“From 29July to 2 August 2025, visitors and participants can experience the best the city has to offer, with one of the highlights being the grand finale on the Bar Blend Main Stage at Dam Square , the vibrant heart of Amsterdam.”
Mr Gay Europe 2025 seeks the successor to the current titleholder, Tim Küsters from the Netherlands, who has been a source of inspiration for the LGBTQIA+ community across Europe during his reign. Küsters is Dutch but lives in Belgium. In 2022 he was a finalist for Mister Gay Belgium.
“This year, the competition is bigger, more exciting, and more diverse than ever, with an extensive program that will take participants and spectators on a journey through Amsterdam, while immersing them in the city’s welcoming pride vibe.”
In addition to the many activities and challenges the contestants will face, including workshops, panel discussions, and team-building events, they will also have the opportunity to experience the rich culture and diversity of Amsterdam.
VACAYA
The winner and new titleholder will be rewarded with an impressive prize package, headlined by a 9-day VACAYA Cruise along the beautiful Mediterranean Coast and a fantastic trip above the polar circle to join Arctic Pride under the northern light. It’s a unique chance to not only become a role model for the LGBTQIA+ community but also embark on new adventures.
The 2025 edition is organized by Bram Bierkens and Tim Küsters. Bram is a recognized professional in the entertainment industry. As the executive producer of Mr Gay Europe and casting director at the television production company Banijay, he has made his mark on numerous successful projects. Together with the current Mr Gay Europe, he will elevate the competition to new heights.

Gay
The competition is open to anyone who identifies as a gay man, living in Europe and is 18 years or older; there is no upwards age limit, and we aim to have a wide range of diversity, whether it concerns ethnic or cultural background, ability, body image, style, sexuality or age.
Not only will the final take place in this wonderful gay world metropolis, but friends of Mr Gay Europe will also know that we are talking about historical dimensions.
When Mr Gay Europe was held for the first time in Oslo, Norway in 2005, it was intended as a one-off event. But when the gay community of Amsterdam asked to host the competition the following year, the first organizers, Morten Rudå and Tore Aasheim realised that something big was about to happen. In many ways, we all can thank Amsterdam for the competition continuing all these years.
“I have for several years personally asked and encouraged Bram to take on the task, and therefore I am very happy that in our 20th year he is taking charge of the final. This guarantees an extraordinary final to the delight of both the audience and the participants, Pride Amsterdam has really something to look forward to”, Tore Aasheim, todays Mr Gay Europe owner and president, says.
