Sinksenfoor 2025 attracts some 800,000 visitors

Today, Sunday 13 July 2025, marks the final day of Antwerp‘s Sinksenfoor or Pentecost Fair after five weeks. It was held at the Spoor Oost space for the ninth time since June 7, this year featuring more than 150 attractions. Despite the changeable weather and a shorter duration than last year, the fair welcomed around 800,000 visitors.

A trip to the Sinksenfoor is an annual tradition for many fairgoers from Antwerp and beyond. The city’s largest fair attracted around 800,000 visitors this year.

One week shorter

A good turnout, says the City of Antwerp press release, considering the fair was one week shorter than last year.

As every year, the weather is once again a major factor in visitor numbers. Thanks to the beautiful weather in the first few weeks, the fair initially attracted many visitors. Due to the heat at the beginning of July, the opening hours were adjusted, and the Sinksenfoor didn’t start until 6 p.m. for three days.

Fortunately, the Sinksenfoor was able to conclude its final weekend successfully with perfect fair weather.

Alderman for Markets and Fairs Johan Klaps (N-VA): “With 800,000 visitors in five weeks, despite rain and heatwaves, the Sinksenfoor remains a major crowd-puller. This successful edition demonstrates once again how deeply this fair is rooted in the heart of our city. The mix of tradition and innovation continues to draw people from Antwerp and far beyond to our city year after year. Spoor Oost has thus become a home base for the Sinksenfoor, and we will therefore focus on ensuring its long-term integration at this site.”

Old and new attractions

There was plenty to experience at the more than 150 exciting attractions and food stalls. All the traditional stalls were present, but the new attractions were also very popular: Sea World, Mission Impossible, Heroes Tower, Mini Jones, Maximus, and Hurricane

The entire Sinksenfoor experience attracted a total of approximately 800,000 visitors.

Post scriptum
