For Steve‘s birthday in December, Frank, Steve and I went for breakfast at Botanic Sanctuary Antwerp. At that point, the ‘hotel’ part of the Sanctuary was still closed, as the spa area wasn’t ready yet. But there were already restaurants. You could also enjoy a lavish breakfast. So we did.

July 2021. A week after my Eindhoven escapade featuring the DAF Museum and a night at Hotel Mariënhage, I travelled to Utrecht for a culinary weekend with Steve. At that time, the Netherlands were very liberal concerning coronavirus countermeasures. That was both concerning and liberating at the time.

2020. Corona. Travelling is a different game. Yet our Fernweh acted up too often. So we arranged a train trip to Germany and Austria. Specifically to Leipzig in Saxony, several spots in Bavaria and returning home with ÖBB‘s Nightjet from Innsbruck in Tyrol to Brussels in Belgium.
