After a wonderful stay at InterContinental Malta two years ago, I have been eager to go back. Last November the chance for another visit presented itself and off I was. After a smooth flight on Air Malta I arrived at the hotel and was escorted to the Club Lounge for a personal check-in.
Contrary to last-time when we received a generous upgrade to the Panoramic suite, this time I would be staying in the slightly smaller club suite. The suite still features a huge footprint, with a separate “living” area where you enter.
Centrally in the room is the dining table with a big chandelier, and your welcome fruit plate.
To the side you have a seating area with a big TV and some water and sweet bites on the table.
You also have desk to work on, with a phone and some writing materials at your disposal.
Of course you also have tea and coffee making facilities, with an Illy coffeemaker and the minibar onder the table top.
The bedroom is in a separate room, featuring a very comfortable king-size bed.
Over the entire length of the room you have floor to ceiling windows with a small balcony featuring some seats outside.
The bathroom is the most wonderful bathroom I’ve had in a hotel. When entering you have a huge wardrobe where you can store all your stuff, there is also a bathrobe and slippers at your disposal. There was even a gym mat and some weights to exercise in your room.
Centrally in the room you have a double sink, with the wonderful Acqua di Parma products centrally placed.
In Separate room you have a toilet and bidet.
With the walk-in shower right next to it.
And of course, the magnificent bath with whirlpool function. Unfortunately the one in our room was out of order, so they moved us to a different room.
The new room was located in a corner, with a shorter but deeper balcony, offering a lounge seat in addition to table and chairs.
The main room was more rectangular, with a different type of chandelier over the dining table, and a treadmill in the corner.
The bedroom was a bit darker in this room as it only had a small window, but it was larger in size compared to the previous room.
As we went there to celebrate Mike’s birthday, the hotel also presented us with some champagne and cupcakes to celebrate.
All other facilities of the hotel where still as wonderful as last time and are covered in detail in our previous review.
