REVIEW | Holiday Inn New York City – Wall Street in Manhattan’s Financial District

I spent my last night in the United States of America in New York City. I stayed at the Holiday Inn New York City – Wall Street in Nassau Street.

The Holiday Inn New York City – Wall Street is a narrow building which you can miss easily. Once located, I checked in. As a IHG gold member and as it was my first check-in in that hotel, I gout upgraded to an executive room. A nice touch.

I chose this hotel for being close to the World Trade Center site. In the few available hours I had, I wanted to visit that.

The room

The room is small, as are all rooms in Manhattan. Still, there’s everything. A kingsize bed, a large tv, coffee and tea making facilities, a desk, an array of power outlets. A bathroom with shower and bath.

The internet wasn’t up to speed, literally.

The gym

The gym is located in a small room in the basement. There are three machine. A fixed bicycle, a treadmill and a crosstrainer. That’s not much, but enough for me. Those are usually the exercises I do.

Breakfast

There’s an in-house restaurant, of which I forgot the name. It offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. No breakfast buffet, but you can order from several options.

The breakfast was okay. In a metropolis as the Big Apple, having breakfast out is a better option. There’s so much choice.

In conclusion

I was happy at the Holiday Inn New York City – Wall Street. It’s decent and a good product for Manhattan. A complimentary newspaper, USA Today, in the morning was a nice touch.
