HM Philippe, King of the Belgians and HM Mathilde of Belgium are paying a State Visit to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. They went by train.
It’s the first time since the middle of the 1990s, when then Queen Beatrix of The Netherlands paid a State Visit to Belgium that the King and Queen used a Royal Train.
Today, 15 October 2019, the train consisted of regular first class coaches with the new royal coat of arms added.
Wim Dehandschutter, royal correspondent for Het Nieuwsblad, made photos and a short video. The train consisted of five coaches. We can see an I6, an I6M and an I11.
