It holds a large and varied collection of over 250 vintage European and American automobiles from the late 19th century until the 1990s. Including an array of Minerva cars, such models as a 1928 Bentley, a 1930 Bugatti and a 1930 Cord and several limousines which belonged to the Belgian Royal Family.

The museum moved in in 1986 and was originally formed by merging the collections of Charly De Pauw and Ghislain Mahy.

Inside

Autoworld consist of a huge hall with many, many cars and some motorcycles. The collection is impressive. There’s an upstairs section as well. Don’t forget to have a look at the horse carriages.

It’s a delight for petrolheads to see all this old cars.

But

There’s a “but”. Some displays are dated. People expect more. Playing with simple mannequins is outdated. Displays should be updated as well with a fresh lay-out and new information.

Also some of the cars and surely the carriages are in need of repair and restoration.

Don’t let it discourage you: Autoworld is worth a visit.
