2020 Belgian Pride parade cancelled

Safety first. After postponement from May to August, The Belgian Pride has now decided to cancel the parade. Coronavirus countermeasures make it impossible. “There are just too many uncertainties.”

Also, the government of Belgium decided to forbid all major, crowded events until 31 August. The Formula 1 Belgian Grand Prix can be held à huis clos, behind closed doors/

Smaller events

The organising committee The Belgian Pride emphasizes the parade is cancelled, but it will hold smaller events throughout the year. It also looks forward to 2021.

Global Pride

The Belgian Pride now looks to join the digital Global Pride, which is to be held on 27 June, for the full 24 hours to accommodate all timezones.

RainbowCity.Brussels

Visibility project RainbowCity.Brussels ís going ahead. Rainbow-coloured zebra crossings have been given a new layer of paint. There’s a new one near Manneken Pis.

Some buildings will be rainbow lit as well.
