Some two years after our first visit to Utrecht‘s Spoorwegmuseum (Dutch Railway Museum), Danny and I returned. We took along Ruben, who was new to the museum.
The occasion for a second visit was the dining car exhibition ‘Tosti’s, truffels, trainen‘ (‘Toasties, truffels, trains‘) about catering on railway journeys.
The collection includes the TEE Rheingold, the Dutch Plan D, CIWL Orient Express dining cars, Mitropa dining car and a NMBS / SNCB I10 dining car and a disco car.

The exhibition runs until 15 November. But even without the Spoorwegmuseum is worth a visit.

I think eating a really good meal in a high quality buffet carriage would be most enjoyable!
It is. It’s so pleasant. Here’s a great example https://tripbytrip.org/2019/03/19/video-snow-white-goldenpass-line-ride-from-montreux-to-zweisimmen-interlaken-and-lucerne-in-switzerland/
Yes, that will do nicely!
I really like your beautiful blog. A pleasure to come stroll on your pages. A great discovery and a very interesting blog. I will come back to visit you. Do not hesitate to visit my universe. See you soon. 🙂
Thank you very much Angelilie
