Brussels Airlines prepares for 2024-2025 winter season, adding more sun to its destinations

This winter season Brussels Airlines adds one new destination and increases several frequencies to the sun on its medium-haul network. The airline will also add capacity to West Africa between October 2024 and March 2025.

End of October, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) winter season 2024 will kick off and it can be a long one in Europe.

That is why, in cooperation with some tour operators, the airline will offer one weekly flight on Sunday to Fuerteventura in Spain. This brings the total of Canary Islands destinations in its portfolio to four.

Furthermore, as from this winter, both Athens in Greece and Kraków in Poland will be scheduled year-round, with respectively four and three weekly connections.

And to extend the summer season, increased frequencies will be offered for several destinations such as Faro, Lisbon and Porto in Portugal or Alicante, Málaga and Valencia in Spain.

Birmingham in the United Kingdom will also be reintroduced with six weekly rotations in winter.

Shifting capacity from East to West Africa

Since the introduction of a 10th long-haul Airbus A330 aircraft in June of this year, the Belgian home carrier continues to grow its presence on the African continent. This expansion will continue as three additional long-haul aircraft will join the fleet in the coming years.

During Winter 2024-2025, Brussels Airlines will operate Nairobi in Kenya four times per week. The carrier will also add additional weekly flights to Conakry in Guinea, Freetown in Sierra Leone and Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso between October and March.
