REVIEW | Jettime for SAS – Copenhagen of Brussels – economy – Boeing 737-800

Easter 2025. I’m visiting my uncle and aunt in Leland, North Carolina. It’s my first trip of two to the United States in 2025. I haven’t seen them live since February 2020 just before the first lockdown and I haven’t travelled to this area since 2019. I’m flying with SAS and Delta. The itinerary: Brussels in BelgiumCopenhagen in DenmarkAtlanta in GeorgiaWilmington in North Carolina.

My flight home was operated by Jettime for SAS.

Jettime

Jettime A/S, formerly known as Jet Time, is a Danish charter airline headquartered in Kastrup, Tårnby Municipality. Its main operational base is located at Copenhagen Airport, with additional bases at Billund Airport and Helsinki Airport. The airline operates a fleet of 11 aircraft and serves 61 destinations.

The company was originally established under the name Jet Time in September 2006 by a group of Danish investors. It operated its first flight on 19 September 2006. In November 2016, Jet Time and Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) announced the termination of their contract, which had involved Jet Time operating eight ATR 72-600 aircraft on behalf of SAS. The contract concluded in early 2017, as SAS shifted its focus to operating larger aircraft. As a result, Jet Time phased out the ATR fleet.

On 21 July 2020, Jet Time filed for bankruptcy, following the dismissal of most of its employees in June due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite this, a new company named Jettime was established on 8 June 2020 with the intention of resuming operations after the pandemic. The assets of Jet Time, including five Boeing 737 aircraft, the CEO, and several key staff, were transferred to Jettime. A new air operator’s certificate (AOC) was granted, and Jettime resumed operations in July 2021.

The flight

Jettime for SAS SK1583
Copenhagen Airport to Brussels Airport.
Scheduled: 1:50 PM to 3:20 AM.
Actual: 2:09 PM to 3:16 PM.
Equipment: Boeing 737-800 (OY-JYB).

Arranged in a 3-3 configuration, the seats are hard and leg room is not generous. Nit that I expected it to be. The seats are basic. Again, as one expects.

In this one-hour flight, we did get some drinks: water; tea or coffee.

So?

So yes this is a very short review. There is not really something to tell. The plane is 13 years old (°2012) but felt older.
