During my two days in the historic and cultural capital of Russia, Saint Petersburg, I couldn’t not notice the many bare bums in sculptures. Russians have a reputation to be harsh and could, but they must have hot behinds. Because they are not afraid to show some skin.
July was a special month. It was the first time in forever I went on a trip in a July, as it is the prerogative of straight couples with children to take a leave in July – but mostly because I finally went on a cruise.
After starting our cruise in Stockholm, a first stop in Helsinki, two days in Saint Petersburg and a day in Tallinn, Riga was the last stop of the Baltic cruise with Royal Caribbean‘s Serenade of the Seas.
After Helsinki in Finland and Saint Petersburg in Russia, Tallinn in Estonia was the third stop of our Baltic cruise which started in Stockholm in Sweden.
Two days isn’t enough, really, to explore Saint Petersburg, the former capital and the cultural heart of Russia. But it’s what we had on the Royal Caribbean cruise of the Baltic Sea.
It was long overdue. Going on a sea cruise had or has been on my travel wish list for a long time. I have quite a few friends who are avid cruisers and I really wanted to taste it. So how did I experience my first time cruising?
