WordPress is not only a very easy to use and practical platform to blog, it’s also a community. Trip By Trip has now over 200 followers via WordPress. That’s not enormous, but we’re happy with this following.
Seattle followed Vancouver on our 2016 America rail adventure. It’s main attraction for us was the Museum of Flight, also known as ‘the Boeing museum’. We’ll cover that one separately. But it made me think of a theme for this blogpost: past future.
Last ime we talked about the long distance and transcontinental trains ofthe American rail operator Amtrak. Today we discuss the Amtrak trains operating on shorter distances, the so called ‘corridor’ services. These services are also more influenced and sometimes even funded by the local states, so their services can differ.
As we got inspired by watching some travel vlogs about travelling on Amtrak and spurred on by Michael Portillo‘s ‘Great American Railroad Journeys‘ on BBC Two we decided to try it out ourselves in 2016.
