Barcelona-El Prat to Brussels Airport with Vueling in their most basic economy seat

Oriol and I returned form Catalonia in Spain with Vueling, flying from Barcelona–El Prat Josep Tarradellas Airport to Brussels Airport in Zaventem, Belgium.

Airline: Vueling
Flight: VY8990
Airplane: Airbus A320-232
Registration: EC-MLE
Livery: Vueling, 25 years Disneyland

It’s hard to say much on this short flight with a low-budget airline. So I can be short.

Seats are hard and narrow and there’s no real legroom. Seats are in a 3-3 configuration. Some are more spacious. You can pay extra for them.

Worth a note: there are USB-ports to charge your phone. Ours were emptied and thus didn’t work.

You need to pay for catering. No surprises there.

There is a seating but you board in three groups. If you are unfortunate to be in group 3, you must be lucky not to have to check your luggage. And even if you don’t need to, your bag will be far away from you.

This creates obvious mayhem when disembarking, as you might have to go against the currant.

So, is flying Vueling terrible? No. But it’s not nice. It’s like sitting on a cramped city bus for too long.

    Hello.

Looks really tight. Many years ago, we also flew in a similar situation, but it was a charter flight. 🙂

It is tight. But it’s more or less the norm nowadays :/
