Every trip comes to an end after spending time with my uncle and aunt in North Carolina and Richmond, Virginia, I undertook my voyage home. The first leg consisted of flying American Eagle from Wilmington International Airport (ILM) to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA).

Like with the flight from LaGuardia Airport to Wilmington and its Embraer ERJ-140LR, the Bombardier (ex-Canadair) CRJ-200 has two engines at the back.

The cabin has a 2+2 configuration and is small. You must give your carry-on bag to be put downstairs.

The seat is okay, legroom fine and there is no entertainment. But in this short flight you again get a drink and a light snack. That was a Biscoff, known in Belgium as speculaas or speculoos (both are correct).

There’s nothing more to tell about the flight, except getting off. No jetway or stairs, but a ramp. That was a first for me.
