On Friday, Luke Jerram premiered his flag art ‘In Memoriam‘ at Park Spoor Noord in Antwerp. Amidst coronavirus countermeasures, it one of few artworks for Zomer van Antwerpen.
Allow me to quote Jerram’s site. “The installation is a temporary memorial for the public to visit and remember all those we have lost from the COVID-19 pandemic. The artwork is also made in tribute to all the NHS health and care workers who have been risking their lives during the crisis.”
As a keen vexilologist I love this installation. But at Par Spoor Noord I missed decent vantage points to shoot images.
After Antwerp, the artwork goes to Greenwich near London and Newbury.
