Memorium Nuremberg Trials

2020. Corona. Travelling is a different game. Yet our Fernweh acted up too often. So we arranged a train trip to Germany and Austria. Specifically to Leipzig in Saxony, several spots in Bavaria and returning home with ÖBB‘s Nightjet from Innsbruck in Tyrol to Brussels in Belgium.

The common theme that day in Nuremberg was the Third Reich and World War II. We first visited the Documentation Center Nazi Party Rallying Grounds (Dokumentationszentrum Reichsparteitagsgelände) and afterwards the Zeppelin Field (Zeppelinfeld) and the Norisring

In the afternoon we visited the Memorium Nuremberg Trials at the Nuremberg Palace of Justice (Nürnberg Justizpalast) with Courtroom 600

There’s an exhibition detailing the Nuremberg Trials and their legacy: international courts. It’s fairly informative, not only discussing the trials itselfs but also its logistics.

Being able to sit in Courtroom 600 is also humbling. Go and visit if you get the chance.
