Back in September 2020 Oriol and I had a lovely lunch at Michelin star Restaurant Sense in ‘s-Hertogenbosch. Before lunch, we had a walk through this garrison town in the province of North Brabant in the Netherlands.
‘s-Hertorgenbosch – or Bois-le-Duc in French – means ‘The Duke’s Forrest’. The duke in question was Henry I of Brabant (1165-1235). So Den Bosch is a medieval town. But it has a long military history and has seen many upgrades throughout the centuries.
On our walk we encountered City Hall, Saint John’s Cathedral, the canals called Binnendieze and the citadel.
We’ll have to return someday to actually visit the town.
Timothy, thank’s for share. But there is no video.
Keep well.
