From Saturday 7 June to Sunday 13 July 2025, the Sinksenfoor or Pentecost Fair will once again take place at Spoor Oost in the Antwerp district of Borgerhout. More than 150 unique attractions and food stalls will offer plenty of fun and atmosphere for young and old alike. This year, the city welcomes no fewer than six new attractions.
The annual Sinksenfoor kicks off during the Pentecost weekend, which is Saturday 7, Sunday 8 and Pentecost Day itself, Monday 9 June.
Enthusiasts can once again indulge themselves at one of the country’s largest funfairs, which this year offers five weeks of festive entertainment for all ages.
All the traditional stalls that make the fair a success year after year will once again be present. In addition, visitors can look forward to six new attractions this year.
- Sea World is a new carousel for the very youngest.
- Mission Impossible is a free-fall tower 85 metres high.
- Heroes Tower is a large swing ride 60 metres high.
- Mini Jones is a large indoor playground with an obstacle course.
- Maximus is an impressive themed thrill ride and is appearing in Belgium for the very first time.
- Hurricane is an action ride with six arms that spin rapidly while bouncing at high speed.
Food and drinks
Of course, food lovers will once again find plenty to enjoy at the Sinksenfoor with delicious sweet and savoury snacks and drinks. Over 150 stalls, spread across two long parallel streets on the site, welcome all fairgoers.
This year, the fairground operators have chosen Shania Gooris as the patron of the Sinksenfoor.
Alderman for Markets and Fairs Johan Klaps (N-VA): “When I told my kids I became alderman for the Economy, they weren’t that impressed—until they found out that includes fairs. The Sinksenfoor is by far at the top of the list of events both locals and out-of-towners eagerly anticipate. And rightly so: for a whole month, you can enjoy wild rides, a wide variety of food stalls, and a cheerful atmosphere. There’s truly something for everyone—whether you’re a thrill-seeker, a foodie, or a day-tripper.”

Accessibility
Visitors can find detailed travel information at www.slimnaarantwerpen.be. The website also includes a site map, a walking distance chart, and public transport routes.
Fairgoers are encouraged to come on foot, by bike, or using public transport. Several trams stop nearby. Large bicycle parking facilities are available at the North and South entrances.
Visitors arriving by car are encouraged to use a combi ticket with Park + Ride and De Lijn via this link. Those driving directly to the Sinksenfoor should note the site is within Antwerp’s low-emission zone. Paid car parking (7 euros) is available on Noordersingel.
In the residential areas around Spoor Oost, paid parking will again be extended until 10 PM, including on Sundays and public holidays, for the duration of the fair. This is to discourage parking in these neighbourhoods. Parking wardens will also hand out flyers urging visitors to use alternative means of transport.
No electric scooters!
The fairgrounds are a no-go zone for electric (shared) scooters. Visitors may arrive by scooter, but not ride on the fairground itself. Scooters can be parked in the bicycle areas.
Monitoring and supervision
Strict noise regulations apply at the Sinksenfoor and there is constant supervision. Inspectors carry out checks for fire safety, sound, lighting, and nuisance. From 10 PM, sound levels are limited to a maximum of 75 dB(A); from 11:30 PM, this drops to 70 dB(A). Regular measurements are taken and half an hour before closing, all sound must be turned off.
From opening time until after closing, city supervisors and police—both in uniform and plain clothes—are present on and around the site to ensure everything runs safely and smoothly.
All information about the 2025 edition of the Sinksenfoor can also be found at sinksenfoor.antwerpen.be.
