There the coronavirus test centre will open on 4 June.
There are two main reasons for the move. Firstly, by (re)moving the test facilities from Spoor Oost, the capacity and velocity for the Vaccination Village (Vaccinatiedorp) wil rise.
Secondly, now we can travel for leisure again, more and more people need a paid test. Now the maximum capacity is 300 tests per day. By moving, this will rise to 1,500 tests per day.
Ziekenhuis Netwerk Antwerpen calls people to come on foot, by bike, scooter or public transport to both sites.
The new Test Village is reachable by tram 2 and buses 17 and 22.
- So we can travel, but where to?.
- Belgium allows non-essential leisure travel from and to EU Member States.
- Belgium to allow leisure travel within European Union and Schengen Area from 19 April.
- City of Antwerp opens grand coronavirus test facility or ‘Test Village’ at Spoor Oost in Borgerhout.
