Between 3 and 4 June the COVID-19 Test Village (Testdorp) wil move from Spoor Oost in Borgerhout to Wilrijkse Plein near Antwerp Expo in at the Vogelzanglaan in 2020 Antwerp.
There the coronavirus test centre will open on 4 June.
There are two main reasons for the move. Firstly, by (re)moving the test facilities from Spoor Oost, the capacity and velocity for the Vaccination Village (Vaccinatiedorp) wil rise.
Secondly, now we can travel for leisure again, more and more people need a paid test. Now the maximum capacity is 300 tests per day. By moving, this will rise to 1,500 tests per day.
Ziekenhuis Netwerk Antwerpen calls people to come on foot, by bike, scooter or public transport to both sites.
The new Test Village is reachable by tram 2 and buses 17 and 22.
