Paris 2022

Eiffel Tower.

Paris! I haven’t been to the Ville Lumière since my January 2019 visit with Bert and Wim. Also, this March 2022 getaway in Paris marks the first overnight excursion with Thanh since our 2012 visit of the capital of France. Ten years ago!

Thanh and I did a lot – and not – in one weekend. An early arrival on Saturday at 10.11 AM and and a late departure on Sunday at 7.25 PM allowed us to do many things.

An early spring weekend in Paris.

Not separately reported on

I did not report everything separately. We also just walked a lot, enjoying Paris vibes, a crêpe at Crêperie du Marais, inspecting the reconstruction of the Notre-Dame Cathedral and an after-dinner walk to the Panthéon and the Hôtel des Invalides

On Sunday, we walked to Bercy and the Bibliothèque nationale de France or National Library dedicated to former president François Mitterand. A perfect location for a photoshoot for a new profile photo. Thank you Thanh for your patience.

Then we walked to the Austerlitz Railway Station for the metro and lunch at La Villette. From there we walked via the Canal Saint-Martin to the Louvre for the Pyramid

After that, we had an early dinner at Korean restaurant Go Oun and we walked back to the hotel, picked up our bags and headed to Paris-North

Helped by fair weather, we had a great getaway. Paris is so close. I should go more often.
