The 17th edition of Antwerp Pride takes place from Wednesday 7 to Sunday 11 August 2024. This year’s theme is ‘Many Voices. One Pride‘. The organising committee advocates a more militant pride, with a “we’re not going back in the closet” attitude in reaction to rising conservatism and conformism. But let’s face it: pride is also celebration. In the run up to August, let’s look at activities and events. Also don’t forget Antwerp Queer Arts Festival from 3 to 31 August.
“On Wednesday august 7th we’re organising a fabulous opening-night in the beautiful luscious open-air theatre, the OLT Rivierenhof in Deurne. With a wide variety of up-and-coming and established artists we start the next edition of Antwerp Pride off with a bang”, Antwerp Pride says.
Pay What You Can
For this event, Antwerp Pride is introducing the ‘Pay What You Can’ principle. “This allows you to determine your own price. The price of 16 euros is the regular ticket price. If a lower rate makes it easier for you to attend, you are free to choose that. If you choose the higher ticket price, you are helping Antwerp Pride to keep this event accessible for others.”
Featuring artists
Antwerp Pride has divulged some of the performing artists.
- Red Sebastian: “2024 is the year the world met Red Sebastian (Seppe Herreman). After his participation in the television program ‘Sing Again‘, he is ready to take you on his musical adventure. Catchy music and a dazzling live performance is what you can expect. A high show quality, a strong voice with a unique range and continuing to push his boundaries is what Red Sebastian excels at. With his new single ‘In Your Eyes’ he is ready to conquer the world. In addition to his own songs, you can also expect a mix of covers made to his own taste, all of which you can sing along to. During Antwerp Pride Opening Night, expect an amazing show with which Red Sebastian will travel through Flanders and make you completely enthusiastic.”
- A Tribute To George Michael: “A phenomenal look-a-like lead singer and three great backing singers perform the hits of George Michael and Wham! each one comes to life on our Opening Night stage. Expect a performance with classics such as ‘Faith‘, ‘Outside‘, ‘Freedom‘, and many more. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to enjoy an unforgettable performance in the unique setting of the OLT Rivierenhof.”
- Rose Cohen: “Rose Cohen, known as one of the best Rihanna impersonators, will surprise us with a spectacular show and incredible energy. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to enjoy an evening full of love, unity and great music.”

With infectious music, composed by eighties pop legend Cindy Lauper, and a young, dynamic cast, they will set the stage of OLT Rivierenhof on fire.
- Dokter T and Laurens Luyten deejay set.
