The Letterenhuis is back again after a temporary closure due to renovation works. The program includes playful-poetic readings, drag performances, a crash course in screen printing and a ‘confession of pride’ in which visitors tell author Veerle De Caestecker something they are proud of and receive a tailor-made poem in return.

In the MAS, creative souls make their own snow globe and can taste the Arctic buffet landscape by artist Esther Kokmeijer, as part of the new exhibition ‘To Antarctica‘.

In the Hendrik Conscience Heritage Library you can admire the Old Antwerp Songbook, but also new perspectives on it in collaboration with Teletext vzw

Musicians FULCO, Slongs Dievanongs and Les Âmes Perdues and word artists Yousra Benfquih and Joke Van Leeuwen present their interpretation.Want to take home a souvenir?

In the ‘Plates by Bruegel‘ workshop in Museum Mayer van den Bergh, visitors can sticker vintage plates with elements from the art collection that Fritz Mayer van den Bergh collected.

There are fascinating guided tours in various places as a perfect introduction to an exhibition or one specific masterpiece.

Partner organization AmuseeVous also provides Antwerp museums with artistic interventions by young makers who challenge all classical perspectives. Flemish Sign Language interpreters make part of the program accessible to the deaf and hard of hearing.

And not unimportant: visitors to Museum Night will also regularly encounter tasty snacks, fresh drinks and beautiful tunes.

Alderman for Culture Nabilla Ait Daoud (N-VA): “On Saturday 3 August the lively public will take over our Antwerp museums, music and surprising performances will conquer our eyes and hearts, and the works of art will wink at the starry sky above the city.
