The Consultative Committee of Federal and Regional Governments decided to reopen non-essential shops from 1st December. Museums can also reopen. As of tomorrow, you can book a time slot to visit one of City of Antwerp‘s museums. These will reopen on 5 December.
Those museums are Museum Mayer van den Bergh, Middelheimmuseum, Rubenshuis (Rubens House), Letterenhuis, Museum Vleeshuis, Museum Aan de Stroom (MAS), Red Star Line Museum, Museum Plantin-Moretus and diamond museum DIVA.
Photography museum FOMU reopens on 8 December.
As previously, there’s a maximum of visitors allowed and you need to book an entry time. Tickets will be on sale on the museums’ respective websites from 1 December at 9 AM.
Alderwoman for Culture Nabilla Ait Daoud (N-VA) is pleased. “The reopening of museums is like a light at the end of the tunnel.”
Temporary exhibitions
DIVA’s exhibition ‘The Jewelleґs Art‘ opened online on 13 November and will now be accessible to the public ‘live’.
