Via Facebook, Brussels Pride – The Belgian & European Pride had divulged its theme for election year 2024: Safe Everyday, Everywhere.
“This year, Brussels Pride has chosen the theme ‘Safe Everyday, Everywhere’! Our goals are diverse and encourage concrete daily actions against all forms of discrimination, violence or hate crimes worldwide. Join us in our fight for a more inclusive and tolerant society”, the Pride says on Facebook.

Pride Week, in reality ten days, will start on Wednesday 8 May. It culminates in the pride parade on Saturday 18 May, a day after the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia (IDAHOT or IDAHOBIT). In Belgium and in Flanders especially, 17 May is a big day of awareness for and by the LGBTQIA+ movement and the rainbow community.
Brussels Pride
In 2023, the Belgian Pride morphed into the Brussels Pride – The Belgian & European Pride. The Brussels-Capital Region is now much more involved in pride activities in the city of Brussels, via Visit.Brussels.
The Brussels Pride – The Belgian & European Pride tags RainbowHouse Brussels on Facebook.
While there is at this point little known about Pride Week, RainbowHouse Brussels did publish a Memorandum for the federal, regional and European election of 9 June 2024. The document is currently available in Dutch and French, not in English.
