Antwerp Pride’s Pride Village will only be accessible with Covid Safe Ticket

Operaplein.

Antwerp Pride has announced it will enforce a COVID-19 safe access to the Pride Village at Operaplein. You’ll need to prove you’re vaccinated, tested or you recently had COVID-19. Bring an official identity document.

“‘There are 3 ways to get access to the Antwerp Pride Village. Each of these options requires a valid QR-code”, Antwerp Pride says

  • Vaccination certificate. Full corona vaccination. With a European approved vaccine, valid from 14 days after you have been fully vaccinated.
  • Recovery certificate. Proof that you have recovered from corona less than 6 months ago.
  • Test certificate. A negative test result less than 48 hours before the event.

Only PCR tests, NO rapid tests“, Antwerp Pride says.

The three above mentioned certificate will be automatically added – with valid QR code – to the COVIDSAFE BE app, which you can download in the app store of your smartphone.

A printed vaccination card with QR code is also accepted.

Events & corona

The Consultative Committee of Governments in Belgium has laid-out rules and regulations regarding holding events.

“From August 13, outdoor events with more than 1,500 visitors can use the Covid Safe Ticket. When using the Covid Safe Ticket, rules around mouth mask, distance and CIRM / CERM restrictions are no longer applicable. However, there must be a crowd management plan, sanitary precautions must be followed and adequate ventilation (with CO2 meter inside) must be provided”, says the City of Antwerp website

What are CIRM and CERM you ask? COVID Infrastructure Risk Model (CIRM) and COVID Event Risk Model (CERM).

So can we have a pride without masks? Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps.
