We now know the timetable of the European Sleeper RegioJet night train from Prague and Warsaw to Ostend via Berlin, Amsterdam, Antwerp and Brussels. Open access was granted open access for the period from 12 December 12 2021 to 12 December 2026. Poland‘s railway regulator UTK has given operations its approval.
Trains from Warsaw are scheduled to leave at 5 PM. The train is to leave Prague at 7 PM, to arrive in Berlin before midnight. Then it will stop in Hanover. The train should arrive in Amsterdam at 6 AM, continuing to Rotterdam, Roosendaal, Antwerp, Brussels, Ghent, Bruges and then Ostend at 11.10 AM. The return trip should depart just before 6 PM.
Why Ostend? To connect to ferries to the United Kingdom.
For la petite histoire. The train numbers will be 4XX, which means the Roosendaal – Puurs local service will lose its 4XX. It will become 23XX.
Train and public transport watcher Simon has discovered there are is no confirmed timetable for the German leg made public yet. So there are still question marks.
