It’s that time of the year again: Antwerp Pride and Antwerp Queer Arts Festival. Pride focuses on the second weekend of August: from Wednesday 10 to Sunday 14. AQAF runs from 5 to 28 August. In 2022, Antwerp Pride turns 15 and looks 15 years into the future under the banner of ‘Queertopia‘. AQAF hasn’t communicated a specific theme.
The Antwerp Pride Closing Festival on Sunday is a moment to wind down and for Antwerp Pride to do something for Antwerpians. The concert is usually very Flemish and very family.
“Sunday is time to say goodbye to Antwerp Pride and to all the friends you have made. But not without one last party”, Antwerp Pride says.
“You are welcome from 2 PM and the party continues until 9 PM after which we say a fond farewell to this year’s edition of Antwerp Pride. Entrance is free.”
Line-up
On Sunday, the Closing Festival will take over the large festival site on the Scheldt Quays. You can sing and dance along with renowned artists and some guilty pleasures. Among the artists: Pommelien, Leopold, LaDiva Live, Grace, The Starlings and April Darby. Mister Eurovision himself Johnny Logan and Cookies And Cream close this edition of Antwerp Pride. “
‘Priscilla‘ by InTeam is also booked.
