Antwerp Pride hasn’t revealed a map of the pride parade route for 2023 yet, but has released some information. The pride parade of Antwerp Pride 2023 is scheduled for Saturday 12 August at 2 PM.

“Time to sashay and parade through the city in a positive and festive atmosphere”, Antwerp Pride says on Facebook. “Pride is protest and what better way to protest than to show who we are and what we stand for in all our beautiful colours.”

“We ask all participants to gather at Sint-Jansplein in Antwerp North. From 12 PM we will release positive love vibes in the square.”

“The parade starts at 2 PM and immediately dives into the Oudeleeuwenrui and Brouwersvliet in the direction of the Scheldt. The route then goes along the river and at Sint-Jansvliet where we make a turn into Kloosterstraat, past the statue of Peter the Great – under whose reign Russia was still tolerant of homosexuality – into Scheldestraat and then towards the grounds of the Love United Festival on the Ledeganckkaai where the party can start.”

“If you’re coming to watch the parade, there are good views all along the route, so spread out along the route to cheer on your favorite parade floats!”

Water if it gets really hot

“Water points will be provided along the entire parade, thanks to the support of Water-Link, so that you can stay hydrated throughout the day. So be sure to bring a non-disposable bottle, so you can slay the day!”

“Be sure to bring a parasol or a hat, and smear those handsome legs with plenty of sunscreen! Prevention is always the best option. There are certainly plenty of shady places along the parade, especially on Oudeleeuwenrui, Brouwersvliet and Kloosterstraat.”
